Bingo Ladies
These portraits were taken in the National Stadium, Dublin in 2007.
They were part of an article for Mongrel Magazine, which profiled various bingo nights around Dublin City. During the intermission I met Tracey in the smoking section. She won the big jackpot twice in one night. "I won three grand that night. And i was hungover. Haven't wpm a thing since. That's the way it is, I got lucky". Tracy doesn't seem too troubled. A mother of five, Tracey is just glad to be here. "It gets me out of the house". Tracey says. "Thats all i care about".
Johnny studied Photography in Sallynoggin College in 2000. He then moved to Newport College to specialise in Documentary Photography. He graduated in 2004 and, after a period of travelling, he now lives and works in Dublin. See also www.johnnysavage.com
