ART, CRAFT & DESIGN - PORTFOLIO PREPARATION

On this course, students can develop their skills in art, craft and design, while preparing a quality portfolio for entry to third level. The course content is structured and concerned with elements common to all aspects of art, craft and design. Drawing is considered to be of paramount importance on the course. Study is arranged through a series of projects, which are designed to develop visual and manipulative skills.

Career and Employment Opportunities
Progression to courses in ITs and Universities such as DIT, NCAD and IADT Dun Laoghaire. Graduates may also apply to third level colleges through CAO in Ireland and UCAS in the UK.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate level or equivalent. Interview - applicants must bring a selection of their best work to include drawing from observation, 3D work, craft work, sketch books or notebooks. Applicants may be accepted without the formal academic qualifications.
